What you will experience
Most of the route is described as calm water. At the start, releases from Bouçã dam can create rapids through the gorges, changing the character of progression.
Along the route
The proposal starts in the Bouçã area and follows the river to Foz de Alge, beside the campsite area. River flow and dam operation should be considered before choosing the descent's format.
Requirements & preparation
The initial current depends on dam operation. The group's experience and conditions on the day should guide assessment, without guaranteeing calm water throughout.
