What you will experience
The Alva riverbed leads through water, rocks and weirs. Passing the river beaches and the Rabaças area distinguishes this water walk from the Ceira routes.
Along the route
The described route starts at Moinhos do Alva River Beach, passes Caneiro de Côja and finishes at the Rabaças weir, followed by a short walk out of the valley. Jumps and obstacles are optional; slides form part of the technical programme chosen for the outing.
Included equipment & guiding
The programme provides for technical supervision, a neoprene suit and socks, helmet and harness. The proposal defines access arrangements.
What to bring
Bring water, a snack or light lunch, swimwear, a change of clothes, towel, flip-flops and substantial-soled water footwear. If you wear glasses, prepare a retaining strap.
Requirements & preparation
Agility and physical stamina are needed for aquatic progression. The group's experience and limitations should shape the programme; optional obstacles are not a participation requirement.
Meeting & logistics
Moinhos do Alva River Beach in Côja. There are no changing facilities; arrival and access transport need to be organised for the outing.
