What you will experience
Riverside vegetation and railway heritage accompany the route. Rapids depend on river flow and operation of the upstream dam; reduced summer flow can limit progression.
Along the route
The proposal follows the Pessegueiro–Sernada section. When upstream conditions do not favour the descent, departure can be moved further downstream. The programme should identify the chosen length and access points.
Requirements & preparation
Some previous experience and moderate physical stamina are recommended. Reduced flow and dam operation should be assessed for your preferred date.
