What you will experience
The circular route passes beech, oak and chestnut trees, contrasting woodland with the viewpoint at São Lourenço Chapel. From there, views encompass the Zêzere glacial valley, the Cântaros and Penhas Douradas.
Along the route
A shorter circular hike with moderate slopes. The woodland was planted by Manteigas forestry services; environmental interpretation is the focus, not climbing to Torre.
What to bring
Water, a light meal/snack, breathable layers, waterproof/windproof jacket, boots and hat.
